The princess' existence wasn't all full of deep life lessons and things to contemplate. Those were actually a very small part of her lived existence. Her life was full of mostly laughter, wonder, curiosity, adventure, and fun. So much fun.
That time she hiked up the mountain in the middle of the night to teach herself there was nothing to fear in the dark. That time she swam naked in the ocean by moonlight, swimming among the finned people and remembering her origins. That time she swam deep into the abyss, simply because she could. Ever since she was born, she swam. She hated swimming for competitions, she just liked the water against her skin, it's who she is. Memories carried over generations of a life that once existed, a life that would exist again. Being in water was more than gaining her freedom, it's who she is.
There was that time she shat herself, and had to rely on the kindness of a stranger for help. That time she had too much adult grape juice and couldn't tell the difference between the walls and the floor. A time she discreetly threw up, only to realize that everyone had heard anyway. That time a good friend and her sang all the way home for hours, making noise and waking up the world. Those times she would knock on doors and run away, she would create slingshots and hurl pebbles at others, she would use fireworks to blow up apples, and she genuinely enjoyed breaking things. When you break things, that's how you find their foundation. With a strong foundation, everything will grow back, and that's what she was doing.
She was breaking herself down with laughter, adding slapstick comedy to her life. When others fell she laughed. Rather than offend, she helped them see the ridiculousness of living, and how we can make it a huge comedy or a huge tragedy. She found that most people wanted comedy, and those who said they didn't would eventually anyway. There was no need to try to make others miserable, nor to wait on those who chose their misery. Everything in life is comedy.
The princess' life had become full of laughter. Her dreams grew stronger night by night, moment by moment. She had never remembered her dreams, but now she was starting to remember them all. Love is strictly gentle, which is why she could push away all the fear and pain with a simple laugh or smile. The princess remembered what it is to be.
